Good afternoon, Nighthawks! 

     I hope this message finds all of our families and students doing well and staying healthy! Following Gov. Abbott's announcement yesterday and the new closure guidelines put out by Prosper ISD, St. Martin de Porres Catholic School will remain closed through May 1, 2020. The teachers and I had a great Zoom meeting this morning to discuss this information and some other things. Moving forward, I have asked them to simplify assignments, while providing optional assignments for students who are seeking more educational opportunities. We recognize it is easier for some families to manage eLearning than for others. Just do the best you can. Do what you can and continue to participate in your teacher's Zoom calls and any other interactive opportunities they may provide for you. Communicate with your child's teacher if you are experiencing any issues or have concerns. We want to work with you and help you as best we can. 

      Let us all remember that we are moving into a Holy season as Lent comes to an end and the Easter season begins. Provide time for family prayer and reflection. Pray for each other, our school and parish community, our relatives, friends, neighbors, and the world that we see an end to this pandemic and that we all stay healthy.

Would you like to help the SMDP llibrary? We are in need of new books, especially  Newberry Award winners. Please see the list attached. This list will be updated on a regular basis. Select a book you would like to donate by completing the form and returning it to the school. The book will be purchased upon your donation and a donor label will be placed in the inside front cover for our students to know of our valuable supporters. Help us grow our library!

St. Martin de Porres Catholic School serves students in grades PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten-8th. SMdP offers a classical Catholic education in partnership with our parents.

Please visit the Admissions for information about the enrollment process and submit the Prospective Family Inquiry if you would like more information. The admissions process for the 2020-2021 school year will open in February 2020. Registrations for the 2019-2020 school year are still being accepted.

Tuition and application information for new families to SMdP are available under the Admissions  tab .  All new families may submit their appications and the appropriate application fee.   All new families to SMdP will go through an application process.
