The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a parent organization that serves St. Martin de Porres Catholic School in an advisory role specifically to the pastor and principal.
The role and responsibility of the SAC is to advise the principal on matters related to the operation of the school while following Diocesan School Policy. The SAC is responsible for the development of the Strategic Plan, overseeing school finances, assisting with the marketing and development of the school, performing self-evaluations to measure council effectiveness, and any other tasks given to them by the Principal.
The SAC consists of 9 voting members, the Pastor, Principal, Assistant Principal and Advancement Director. Members may serve 1, 2, or 3 year terms. The SAC meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month during the school year.
